All is now set for the 2013 Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) election in Akwa Ibom State.
In a release signed by the chairman of the election committee, Otuekong Bonny Nyong and made available to our sports editor confirmed that the sales of forms is on at No. 35 Paul Bassey Street, Uyo.

Otuekong Nyong further said the forms for the following positions; chairman, vice chairman, secretary, Assistant secretary, treasurer, financial secretary, welfare officer and ex-officio are available at the above address for only SWAN members who want to contest, the 2013 SWAN election to be obtained at the payment of N10, 000 for chairmanship position, while other offices cost N5, 000 only.
The chairman explained that SWAN election is not an all journalists’ affairs, but strictly for sports journalists adding that any journalist who obtained the form but not a member of SWAN will be disqualified.
Otuekong Bonny Nyong however said that full time table for the election will be released soon.
