Arrangements have the next Ekid peoples Congress coming up on Saturday 26th October, 2013. The event which will seek to chart a fresh course for the people of Ekid Nation and will also elect new Executive to pilot the affairs of the body for the next administrative year.
It could be recalled that the tenure of the Abong Ekpo led Executive had expired since may and the body had resolved to meet on Saturday at Uquo in Esit Eket to hold her congress nand discuss the way forward for the body.
Ekid Peoples Union is the apex socio cultural group of the people of Ekid nation and has over time been the leading voice for the people of Ekid nation. The group has constantly charged the people of Ekid nation to ensure they live in unity and show cordiality so that together the people of Ekid nation can get to the peak of development.
The Saturday congress will herald a new beginning for the ethnic nationality. Sons and daughters of Ekid nation are accordingly invited to the congress which is going to be chaired by a member of the BoT of the body Senator Etang Edet Umoyo.
