Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State will this Thursday October 17, 2013 step out to receive yet another excellence award from forum of Federal House of Representatives, National Assembly (3rd republic) who represented Akwa Ibom in Abuja, FCT.
In a press release signed by the co-ordinator of the forum, Hon Chief (Barr) A. M Akpan, the forum decided to honour the governor for his sterling qualities which includes vision, drive, good judgment, tact and deep sense of humility.

According to them, the governor has in the last six years harnessed the abundant material and human resources available in Akwa Ibom State through adequate planning, organization and execution of policies for the common good of Akwa Ibom people in the state.
The forum highlighted the areas covered by Governor Akpabio in the last six year especially in the area of infrastructural development, education, health agriculture, power sector, culture and tourism rural and women development and social welfare etc.
While commending the state government for maintaining a greater percentage of its annual budget to capital expenditure, the forum called on detractors and critic of Governor Akpabio to prefer and suggest solutions and not engage in arm chair criticism.
The forum therefore invites the State Governor, His Excellency, Chief Dr. Godswill Obot Akpabio, Her Honor, Lady Valerie Ebe, Deputy Governor, Akwa Ibom State, Senators, House of Representatives Members, Hon Speaker/Members of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Minister, Paramount /Traditional Rulers to Governor’s Office Annex, Venue of the award ceremony on 17th October 2013 by 11am to witness the recognition of the Governor’s excellent performer.
