UCCDA taskforce assault a female journalist in Uyo

A reporter with The  Radar Newspaper, Victoria Imo, has been brutally assaulted by the task force team of the UCCDA along Nsikak Edouk avenue, Uyo, during their demolition exercise.

Her mobile phone was forcefully taken away by them in the process. She was just passing by the four lane round about of Nsikak Edouk when the team was demolishing some structures, touched by the sight of an old woman crying for help, she attempted to find out what was happening because she did not know that it was the Uyo Capital City Development Authority (UCCDA) led by a former speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Ignatius Edet.
She (reporter) was dragged on the floor in the process.

Meanwhile, the Editor-in-chief of The Radar newspaper, Mr. Franklyn Isong when contacted confirmed the incident, saying that he has reported to matter to the chairman of Akwa Ibom NUJ, Elder Patrick Albert.
