Mkpat Enin people hail Transition Chair

BY VICTOR UFOT

The Transition Chairman of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area Lady Ekaette Ebiet-obong Usip has been commended by her people for sheer devotion and commitment to her responsibilities as Council Boss since her appointment as the Transition Chairman of the Local Government Area.

Some of the people, who spoke to our reporter, said that Lady Usip exhibited great commitment towards her duty.

Mr. John Udoh, an indigene of the area from Ikot Ekpe village averred that the council boss has been dedicated to her job since her appointment as a Chairman.

“The Chairman has been committed since the first day she came in to pilot the affairs of Mkpat Enin, for a long time, past chairmen hardly come to the Local Government Headquarters except on FGPC but that is not the case with Lady Usip, she has been very committed, we see her often in the office with some of the Committee members, this is what we have been missing for a long while”.

According to Comrade Ubong  Ifot, Lady Usip has redefined Local Government administration in the past few months because of her enthusiasm to the job, “we have seen the Council Headquarters becoming active and neat, you can go and see things for yourself, and this is what we have been praying for. She has proven that she is passion driven, with the interest of the people at heart”.

Others who spoke with our reporter commended the woman politician for restoring peace in Mkpat Enin and for making impacts of her administration felt by virtually all Mkpat Enin people. They said despite the paucity of funds in the country the council has been able to extend her philanthropy to others.
They however urged all Mkpat Enin people to continue in their support for the council Boss and governor Udom Emmanuel while pleading with the Governor to bring more developmental projects to the area. They added the area so far are not disappointed with the performance of the Transition Chairman and said that the Chairman has justified her appointment so far.

Another indigene of the area who owns a shop close to the Council Headquarters who only gave her name as Mrs. Aniedi  noted that the council Boss has performed well especially when it comes to commitment and dedication to duty. “When she came on board we knew she will do well because she has the experience needed to flourish in that office, she comes to office regularly and we see movements in the council, the gates are always open and people in the villages now have access to her. You will agree with me that this is commendable, so we are happy with her performance”. She concluded.
