The member representing Esit Eket/Ibeno constituency in the Akwa Ibom state House of Assembly, Mr. Usoro Akpanusoh, has assured his constituents of effective representation that would usher in a new vista of socio-economic development of the oil rich area.
Akpanusoh who is also the chairman, House committee on Finance and Appropriation gave the ssurance in Esit Eket while handing over twobed-room flats he built for two of his constituents as part of efforts to improve their welfare.
Akpanusoh who conducted newsmen around some of his ongoing constituency projects in Esit Eket Local Government Area on Saturday, said that he was moved by the inclement conditions which he found the beneficiaries.
He promised to partner with a reputable estate developer in alleviating the accommodation needs of his constituents, which he observed was a serious issue that needed urgent attention of the relevant authorities.
Our Correspondent reports that the houses are two bedroom detached bungalow and three bedroom detached bungalow located at Idong Abaeto, Ebighi Enwang Uquo in Esit Eket local government area of the state, were among other empowerment packages initiated by the lawmaker.
Akpanusoh promised them more effective representation, saying he would embark on programmes that would better the lot of the people.
“I will not only give people more effective representation but embark on programmes that will improve the standard of living of the people,’’ he said.
He disclosed that he had initiated a revolving loan scheme of N50million for 50 women drawn from all the wards that make up the constituency.
Akpanusoh enumerated his constituency projects to include, building of civic centre, solar power water, houses, construction of mini stadium and road rehabilitation.
He added that the renovation of hostel blocks in Girls Secondary School at Ibeno Local Government Area of the state was at advanced stage.
The Lawmaker revealed that some constituency projects initiated by him would be commissioned in the month of Feb., 2017.
