EMUSSUG holds new year get-together

The Emmanuel Udosen Students Support Group (EMUSSUG) this Wednesday organized New Year Get-Together Party. The event which took place at San Rachael Hotel, Utu Abak in Abak Local Government Area, was attended by members of the organization drawn from different tertiary institutions across the State.

In his speech, the Chairman of the organization, Comrade Ime Udonsek expressed gratitude to God for keeping members alive since the formation of the organization last year to see the New Year, 2017.

Comrade Udonsek said the main reason for organizing the Get-Together Party was to celebrate and thank God for his faithfulness, pray for the success of the year 2017 and the success of their Principal, Dr. Emmanuel Udosen in his political career.


The Chairman thanked the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for extending the tenure of their Principal, Dr. Emmanuel Udosen as the Transition Committee Chairman for Abak Local Government Area for the next six months.
He used the occasion to congratulate Dr. Emmanuel Udosen on the extension of his tenure and prayed God to continue to give him more wisdom to discharge his duties effectively.

The Student’s Leader commended the Transition Committee Chairman for the achievements he has recorded in Abak Local Government Area and expressed the hope that it given opportunity to serve in an executive capacity, would take Abak Local Government Area to the next level of development.

Comrade Udosen listed some of the achievement of Dr. Emmanuel Udosen to include; youths and women empowerment, environmental sanitation, sports development, facilitating the sitting of Tilapia Island Resort which he noted, has created employment opportunities to indigenes of the area, provision of borehole water at Abak abattoir, massive grading of roads, re-modeling of the Council Secretariat among others.
High point of the occasion was moving of a motion begging Dr. Emmanuel Udosen to contest the forth-coming local government election so as to continue with the good work he has already started in Abak.
