Environmental Association of Nigeria get new Executives

Members of the public have been called upon to protect the environment and keep it clean and safe. The call was made by the new Chairman Environmental Management Association of Nigeria (EMAN) Akwa Ibom State chapter, Mr Jeremiah Akpabio shortly after taking over the reins of leadership of the association last weekend. 

Mr Akpabio, a Principal Assistant Registrar at the Federal Polytechnic, Ukana stressed that under his leadership the association will partner relevant agencies to ensure environmental best practice. 


He said the association would embark on the sensitization of the public on issues concerning the environment, problems and prospects, educate the public on challenges facing the society as a result of negligence of the environment. He said that the association would visit schools to propagate the culture of keeping a clean environment.

     Earlier in his speech Egnr Ime J. Edoho, out-gone chairman commended all members for the cooperation he enjoyed during his tenure. Engr.  Edoho observed that Akwa Ibom chapter of the association remains the strongest in the country due to members’ zeal and cooperation. 

He expressed optimism that members will extend such support to his successor.
