Women Commissioner: As a state we cannot forget about the Nigerian legion

The commissioner for women affairs and social welfare Dr Glory Edet as said that the Akwa Ibom state government under the able watch of the state Governor Mr Udom Emmanuel cannot forget the Nigerian Legion noting that the play a vital role in maintaining peace and security in the state 

The commissioner drop the hint yesterday at women development centre, Uyo while donating to the Arm Forces Widow Association that the state Governor Mr Udom Emmanuel is so passionate about the Nigerian Legion especially the widows noting that without his care, love and support the 2017 Arm Forces Remembrance Day would not have been successful.

Dr Edet maintained that no other State in the country celebrated 2017 Arm Forces Remembrance Day like the Akwa Ibom State stressing that it was make possible because the state Governor is a man who fears God and has the interest of the Legion at heart as well as mean well for the citizenry.

She enjoined the widows to continue to support and pray for the state government saying when the government succeed it is for the betterment of the citizenry thus maintaining if Governor Udom as been doing this to the widow in less than his one year and some month in office noting that before the expiration of his eight years in office the sky will only be their limit.

The state chairman of the Nigerian legion col. Linus Eyo commerce the Governor and women commissioner for their continuous showed of love to the widows and the Nigerian legion stressing the present administration understand the plight of the legion.

He charge the widow to always support the state Governor and remained law abiding citizens as the present administration mean well for them.
