Youth Leaders of the 24 Villages of Afaha Obong Clan and other patriotic youths in Abak Local Government Area numbering over 100 on Tuesday gathered at Country Home Global Garden, Ikot Akpabio to celebrate the birthday of the Transition Committee Chairman for Abak, Dr. Emmanuel Udosen.
In his speech, the Chief Host and Youth President of Ikot Akpabio, Prince Usen Joshua said the youths of Afaha Obong Clan were happy to identify with the Transition Committee Chairman on his birthday and decided to host the celebration in Afaha Obong as a mark of their love and solidarity to him and his administration.
Prince Joshua who described the celebration as divine, pointing out that Dr. Emmanuel Udosen’s achievement as the Transition Committee Chairman for Abak was the main reason why the Youth Leaders persuaded him to contest the forth coming Local Government Election and promised to purchase the nomination form for him.
The Youth Leader called on the Transition Committee Chairman to continue to remain focused and concentrate on empowering the Youths as well as attracting the much-needed dividends of democracy to the people of Abak.
He congratulated Dr. Udosen on his birthday celebration and prayed God to give him good health, wisdom and many more fruitful years.
Other Youths Leaders who spoke at the occasion including; Leader Imebong Abija-Ukana Mkpa Eyop, Dr. Oto Akpan Ikot- Atan Ntukuk, Mr. Edidiong Okoyo – Ikot Obong, Mr. Cletus Ukpe – Uruk Obong among others, extolled the leadership qualities of Dr. Udosen and wished him many more years.
They pledged their continuous loyalty to him and his administration and promised to work together with him to ensure that Mr. Udom Emmanuel and Chief Godswill Akpabio return to their respective offices in 2019. Responding, Dr. Emmanuel Udosen beaming with enthusiasm, expressed gratitude to God for making it possible for him to live and celebrate his birthday.
Dr. Udosen specifically thanked the Youth Leaders of the 24 Villages of Afaha Obong clan and the entire youths who trooped out in large numbers to celebrate with him for their love and show of solidarity and prayed God to bless and reward them abundantly.
The Transition Committee chairman advised the youths not to detect to other party, but should continue to remain steadfast in their support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), assuring that it is the only Party that can deliver the much-needed dividends of democracy to the people.
