The people of Etinan Federal Constituency have urged the Special Assistant to the AkwaIbom State Governor on Projects, Hon. David Etuk to contest the House of Representatives seat representing the area in 2015.
The clamour for Hon. David Etuk has continued to rise as his sterling leadership qualities in his present office has distinguished him as the best choice for an effective representation for the people of Etinan Federal Constituency.
The latest endorsement for David Etuk comes from the David Etuk Frontiers Network (DAFON) whose membership cuts across the three local government areas of Etinan, Nsit Ubium and Nsit Ibom which makes up the federal constituency.
In a release made available to newsmen over the weekend and signed by Engr. Joseph Amanam who is the President, urged David Etuk to step out and lead the people of Etinan Federal Constituency to new leadership strides at the federal level and create stronger developmental opportunities for the federal constituency in the next dispensation.
Engr. Amanam described David Etuk as a dynamic and quintessential leader who has been an effective team player in the Godswill Akpabio administration in the past seven and a half years and the brightest star on the Etinan Federal Constituency horizon as the youths, women and elders have sustained a vibrant clamour for change which they have identified in him as the new face of leadership for the people.
They described David Etuk’s as an astute administrator who has led a successful team in the interpretation and implementation of Governor Akpabio’s inter-ministerial direct labour programmes in Eket Senatorial District successfully over the years and his midas touch of empowerment and human capacity development for his people in Etinan Federal Constituency remains an unprecedented landmark in his leadership.
The group further described David Etuk as a focused leader who has laid a new foundation for good governance in the area as his empowerment programmes to the youths of the area over the years, assistance to the women and elders as well as citing and building of some projects in his community have clearly singled him out as the choice of the people of Etinan Federal Constituency.
The group also assured that they will mobilise support for the emergence of Hon. David Etuk as their next representative across the three local government areas of the federal constituency as committees have been inaugurated to begin a massive sensitization of the people in the choice of their incoming representative at the National Assembly while assuring that they will continue to put pressure on him to yield to the wishes of his people as they will not recognise any other aspirant to the hallowed chambers.
Recently, some groups namely the King David Initiative (KIDI), Etinan Federal Constituency for Change and Etinan Federal Constituency Youth Movement had openly declared their support for David Etuk to be their next mandate at the House of Representatives as they stated that his leadership ushers a fresher breath of new and greater ideas away from the crop of aspirants whom they described as recycled politicians who have failed to set new standards in their present or past elective office.
