The leading governorship hopeful in the forthcoming primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom State, Obong Bassey Albert Akpan has bought his nomination form.
Addressing thousands of supporters who thronged the Ibom International airport to receive him on Wednesday, OBA stated that he was in the race to win the Governorship ticket and will serve the people of the state with exemplary quality leadership that would usher greater and sustained development.
OBA commended the people of the state for being strong pillars in fulfilling the vision of his leadership and urged the people to remain resolute with faith as God’s grace will be upon Akwa Ibom State.
He re-assured that with the collection of the PDP nomination forms, every rumour should be discarded while re-emphasizing that a level playing field be provided for all aspirants as the people must make their choice of leader and that only God will determine the future of the state.
OBA further assured the teeming supporters that Akwa Ibom State will ensure a hundred percent victory for President Jonathan at the general elections as his Transformation Agenda has re-positioned Nigeria for greater strides.
He urged the people of Akwa Ibom State to remain united in love, peace and unity in achieving the set goals for good governance in the state as a well accepted and credible electoral process which will see his emergence as the next Akwa Ibom State Governor will consolidate on the existing successes of development in the state.
