Keys are very significance and symbolic, some people see it as a small metal used to unlock closed door, it can also be seen as power to unlock destiny and potentials, and it has both physical and spiritual penetrations. This can explain why Jesus Christ gave Peter the keys of the kingdom, that whatsoever that is bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatsoever that he loss on earth will be loss in heaven.
Undoubtedly today, Mr Udom Emmanuel holds the keys of industrialization, not just the symbolic key but the master key that will unlock the destiny and economic potentials of Akwa Ibom state through industrial revolution that will create jobs and generate wealth for the people.
The handing over of the keys of the kingdom to Peter by Jesus Christ as recorded in Matt 16:19 clearly shows that in every period, God will commit the keys of development of the people to one man.
In Akwa Ibom state, it has become very clear especially as the 2015 governorship election is around the corner; judging from antecedents, past records, and achievements, the keys for industrial development of Akwa Ibom state and economic liberation of this people has been committed to Mr Udom Emmanuel.
This has been confirmed by eminent Elders in the state who have watched his steady rise in the private sector without blemish, and have seen in him capacity to deliver on the industrialization of this state, having done it in other parts of the world through private sector participation in governance.
Udom Emmanuel is a man with strong moral character that is unquestionable and unbeatable, he has earned the respect and trust of many business moguls who will partner with him to deliver uncommon industrialization to this state, creates many employment opportunities for the unemployed and redirect the mind and thinking of the youths from crime and engage them in a meaningful venture that will sustain them and their families for the rest of their lives. That is the vision.
The authority and power of the keys which has been committed to his hands has been the driving force that propelled those who did not like him becoming his friends today, they are taking the message of industrialization to every part of the state, even the opposition APC have acknowledged that if the PDP nominate Udom Emmanuel as the party’s candidate; they will have a strong battle and force to contain with during the governorship election in the state.
Truly, the coming of Mr Udom Emmanuel can best be described as the second coming of Late Dr Clement Isong who pioneered the establishment of many industries in Akwa Ibom while in CBN which are now moribund due to absent of private sector participation, it has further confirmed that government has no business in establishment of industries but private sector.
Today, the men and women who worked with Isong to actualize his industrialization vision are eminently involved in the team that is currently consulting for Udom Emmanuel because in everything there must be a witness, they are to bear witness of the second coming and the full return of industrialization to the state in line with the biblical injunction that in the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every covenant be established.
Akwa Ibom people have had many witnesses that Udom Emmanuel is the best for the job of governor of Akwa Ibom state come 2015, as a renowned banker in the mould of Dr Isong, the SSG has the capacity to develop Akwa Ibom with his time tested experience in the private sector having managed a lot of conglomerates under his care, so he is well placed with the requisite knowledge of industrialization.
Some people have tried to describe Udom Emmanuel which does not truly reflect the person of SSG that I know, but permit me to use only three words and describe the man who worked as an Executive Director in the Board of Zenith Bank Plc. He is kind, loving, and humble man. His integrity and reputations have never been in doubt as he makes honesty, fear of God, and hard work his watch words.
Within a year and few months in office as SSG, he has brought his wealth of experience in the private sector to bear by attracting industries to Akwa Ibom, complete industrialization of the state will form thecardinal point of his administration as the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom state. Hope for industrialization has begun to raise in the state as most people gets ready to take advantage of employment opportunities that will soon be created in the state and be gainfully employed.
The SSG during his consultation visit to the state leadership of his party PDP, assured his party that the government he intend to run will respect the party and the state, create jobs, and will come under the umbrella not on top of the umbrella so that it will continue to cover everybody in the state. It therefor means that the government of Mr Udom Emmanuel will understand that a child cannot be older than the father, and who gives birth is ever the one who determines and pray for the destiny.
These is why the support of Akwa Ibom people to the SSG is complete, sacrosanct, and irreversible based on the prominent role Udom played in the development of Akwa Ibom specifically the historic landing of the first inaugural flight at Ibom International airport, the Petrochemical Industry and other industries, and other developments in the state he has supported.
Across the length and breadth of Akwa Ibom state, it has become a unanimous decision of the people that Udom Emmanuel whom they can trust should succeed governor Akpabio, this chorus decision that it should be Udom is the position of every well-meaning Akwa Ibomites not the few elites. Truly, Udom is the best.
