Revealed: How COMANCLEM died

Fresh facts have emerged on how the inventor of the anti-corrosive special paints and the MD/CEO of COMANCLEM Nigeria Limited, Late Professor Clement John Uwemedimo died.

A very close family source informed THE INK that about two weeks to the demise of the Late Professor Uwemedimo, he was being driven to the village by one of his drivers, our source said while going, the late professor asked the driver to stop.

He then informed the said driver that he was going to return, little did the driver knew that the late soil scientist was referring to his dead.

The driver is said to have been confused, but was later told to drive to where he was heading to professor Uwemedimo’s home town at Okon-Eket, Eket Local Government Area.

Another family source who spoke on grounds of anonymity to THE INK reporter hinted that Late Prof. Clement Uwemedimo was to spend his weekend in his village, but surprisingly he just walked round his compound, calling his siblings and other relations. The family source said, the Late MD of COMMANCLEM had also bought some snacks for them. They are said to have enjoyed themselves lavishly and exchanging pleasantries. After that brief moment of excitement, Professor Uwemedimo then asked his driver to again return him to his Uyo residence that he has changed his mind and has to go back to Uyo that same day.

Findings reveal that exactly seven days later, King Uwemedimo fell ill and after some days, he finally gave up at his Aka Idak Eyop residence in Uyo.

It was also gathered that shortly after his death, a group of aged men believed to be his colleagues in an unidentified society which they must have all belonged to immediately storm the compound and demanded for his corpse.

The aged-men according to a family source were said to have been given an access to the room where he (Late Prof. Uwemedimo) was kept. They are said to have performed some rites according to their custom unknown to even the family members, thereafter they left and told the family members to notify them on the burial date.

However, THE INK gathered that factions have emerged between the Coordinators and Patentees of the company as to who will head or lead the company following the death of the soil scientist.

Meanwhile, one Pastor Monday Akpan who is the Coordinator of the Company in Onna Local Government Area, who is believed to have been close to the late inventor, have been appointed as a Caretaker Managing Director of the Company till when all matters currently rising are settle.

THE INK understands that, all cases in court initiated by Commanclem may be strike out as feelers monitored by our reporter indicates that the courts due to the dead of Uwemedimo Clement may throw out those cases.

A burial planning committee had since been set up and burial plans will be made public, a family member of the Late Uwemedimo Clement hinted.
