Former commissioner for Science and Technology and the leading aspirant for Uyo federal Constituency position Mr. Samuel Effanga yesterday submitted his PDP nomination form duly signed and completed by relevant stakeholders of the federal constituency. Submitting his form at the PDP state secretariat the Uyo political icon reiterated his determination to ensure that he delivers effective representation to the people of his constituency.
He said, I am in this race because I want to make my people of Uyo federal constituency enjoy effective representation. I am aware of the problems and peculiar challenges facing the people of my federal constituency and I am going to rise up to it. Effanga who was accompanied by key players of his campaign train and other stakeholders of the party arrived the PDP secretariat in the afternoon and after a brief formality, he submitted his form to the excitement of his team of dedicated supporters.
He spoke to press men and maintained that as one who have lived with his people and has grown with them, that he is ready to mend the broken fences and link the cracked bridges in terms of service to the people of Uyo federal constituency. The PDP aspirant added that leadership is not new in his polity having served in the public sector as a commissioner were he left indelible marks in and maintained also that with him at the helm of affairs for the people of Uyo federal constituency, the future of his constituent is bright.
He appealed to the people of the federal constituency to see him as their choice as he will not betray the confidence reposed on him. He commended the orderly nature the ruling party employed in the sale of forms and posited that the PDP remains the party to beat come 2015 elections.
