Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG Udom Ekpoudom, rtd has described a statement credited to the Etim Ekpo Council Chairman, Mr. Uduot Jack in THE GUIDE NEWSPAPER on the wicked incidence of an attack on his personal aide Ekemini as unfortunate, baseless, senseless and an act of idiotic expressions from a Council Chairman bereft of ideas.
Ekpoudom in a statement said, although he was not surprised with the position allege by Uduot Jack that he, DIG Ekpoudom, rtd has been insulting the Governor, he posited that the Etim Ekpo Council boss has gone totally lost, and had to make the claims thinking it would fetch him a second term as the chairman of council, maintaining also that Uduot Jack lacks character, and is morally bankrupt and intellectually hopeless.
He said, the attack on Inspector Ekemini his nephew and personal aide last week and the statement credited to Uduot Jack has gone far to confirm his earlier position that some aides of the Governor are bad.
The Retired Deputy Inspector General of Police commented that his words during the town hall meeting at Abak Federal Constituency on the composition and attitudes of some aides to the Governor was an advice that was meant to guide the Governor towards a safe landing.
He said if the sycophants around the governor understood it to be insult, then it is their low self esteem that has affected their sense of reasoning.
The Etim Ekpo PDP chieftain maintained that the stark illiteracy of Uduot Jack has not allowed him, (Etim Ekpo council chairman) to understand the difference between insults and advice.
He stressed that he has no problems whatsoever with Governor Godswill Akpabio and that people like Uduot Jack who have not been to Government House before feel they can blackmail him to be relevant in government.
Ekpoudom advised Uduot Jack to go and enrol in School, get education for himself in order to think reasonably instead of exposing his ignorance to right thinking members of the public.
The Ntrukpum Annang land said, he would not have bothered a reply to Uduot Jack’s wild assertions but that he is doing this to set the records straight as he is not at loggerheads with Akpabio.
He also called Uduot Jack to concentrate on working for Etim Ekpo people whom he was asked to serve instead of squandering the LG’s resources and committing havocs in the area.
He challenged the Etim Ekpo Council boss to account for the allocation he has received so far rather than go about blackmailing innocent citizens of the area.
He said the Etim Ekpo Council boss instead of commissioning projects for the people of Etim Ekpo as his colleagues in other Local Governments are doing has resorted to promoting crimes and criminalities in the area.
The no nonsense Cop posited that the Etim Ekpo Council boss had unearthed what was unknown about the assassins with his position that the assassins were five in number and not four as was mentioned by the victim who was obviously in a State of panic.
Furthermore, DIG Ekpoudom, Rtd stressed that he is happy that the relevant security agencies have since launched an investigation into the attempt on his aide’s life and expressed enthusiasm that the culprits no matter how highly placed and who sent them will be made to face the full length of the law.
He maintained also that if Uduot Jack and his cohorts had believed that by attacking his nephew and aide Ekemini, they will rattle him, they have lost it as he won’t be cowed into closing his eyes to what is not good
