The people of Itu local government area have adopted Mr. Idonesit Ekpanya as their sole candidate to represent the good people of Itu State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of assembly come 2015 general election and beyond.
The adoption took place at the aspirant’s residence when the Executive and members of Ekpanya Volunteers Movement (EVOM) paid a solidarity visit to the aspirant last weekend.
In his address the coordinator of the group Mr. Udeme Umoh made it known that as the name implies EVOM is a grassroots pressure organisation whose membership cuts across the ten wards of Itu local government area, a formidable and energetic group that is set to install Mr. Idonesit Ekpanya as the member represent Itu State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.
He maintained that Elder Ekpanya is the best man for the position given his pedigree and antecedents over years. He called on the people of Itu to support a credible man who has the experience to reposition Itu local government area and ascertained that the best man is Elder Idonesit Ekpanya.
On His part, the Secretary of the Organisation Mr. Akan Udofia presented 1000 copies of posters and a roll up flex for the campaign organisation of Elder Ekpanya. The secretary assured that Elder Idonesit Ekpanya is credible, accountable, dependable, and reliable and the most qualified candidate for Itu people.
Speaking on behalf of East Itam Comr. Joseph Offiong assured the readiness of East Itam Ward 111 to support the dreams of Elder Ekpanya who is from Itu Oma. While the woman leader Mrs. Felicia Usanga said Elder Ekpanya’s ambition is a divine mandate and drummed up support for him based on his fairness, equity and transparency.
Similarly, Mr. Utibe Ekanem who spoke for Itu Oma ward 1 maintained that Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly is for the matured minds with lots of experiences that will fix the problems of Itu people assuring that Elder Ekpanya is the right man.
Presenting the aspirant to the supporters, the campaign manager of Elder Idonesit Ekpanya organisation Mr. Tony Edem said the entire people of Itu ranging from Itu, itam, Mbiabo, and Ayadehe have unanimously accepted Idonesit Ekpanya for Itu State Constituency come 2015. Adding that he is stock with Elder Ekpanya because he has what it takes to transform Itu through industrialization and human development packages.
Making his intentions known to Itu people, the State House of Assembly hopeful come 2015 Elder Idonesit Ekpanya thanked the people of Itu for believing in him most especially Ekpanya Volunteers Movement for their selfless contributions to his campaign organisation. He also commended them for their sacrifices and assured the entire people of Itu of his readiness to transform and revitalise the ailing industries in Itu local government area when he assume office in 2015.
Elder Ekpanya assured that he will not only give a purposeful representation to Itu people but will also run an all inclusive and a transparent representation. He notified the supporters that he has bought his nomination form from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
