A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abak local government area, Obong (Sir) Gabriel Etim has described the immediate past Secretary to Akwa Ibom State Government, Mr. Udom Emmanuel as the best choice for the people of Akwa Ibom State to occupy the Hilltop Mansion in May, 2015.
Sir Gabriel Etim who spoke with journalists at Akwa Ibom International Airport when the PDP Deputy Governorship candidate, Mr. Moses Ekpo arrived the state, described the emergence of Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel as the PDP Governorship flag-bearer for Akwa Ibom State as a beauty for democracy, pointing out that Mr. Udom Emmanuel has excellent track record and has been tested all over the world.
The PDP Chieftain noted that with his experience, Mr. Udom Emmanuel will be able to continue from where Chief Godswill Akpabio will stop.
He thanked the delegates from Abak local government area for giving Mr. Udom Emmanuel 100 percent votes during the PDP gubernatorial primaries, assuring that the people of Abak will repeat same feat during the general election.
The Akwa Ibom Consolidation Alliance (ACA), Abak Chapter executive member thanked the State Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio and the State Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party on the choice of Mr. Udom Emmanuel, describing the former Secretary to the State Government as a marketable product.
Sir Etim expressed the hope that as lovers of good things, Akwa Ibom people will join hands together and vote Mr. Udom Emmanuel during the forth-coming general election to emerge as the next governor of the State.
He also commended the State Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio for nominating an illustrious son of Abak local government area, Mr. Moses Ekpo as the PDP Deputy Governorship candidate.
Sir Etim described Mr. Moses Ekpo as a transparent and God-fearing man who has excellent political track record. He assured that the people of Abak will continue to stand by him and give him the needed support to succeed.
The Party Chieftain used the occasion to congratulate Chief Godswill Akpabio on his well-deserved nomination as the PDP standard-bearer for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial district which came barely few days to his 52nd birthday.
Sir Etim lauded Chief Akpabio on the numerous achievements he has recorded in the State as Governor in the past 7 years and expressed the hope that his sojourn in the Upper Chambers of the National Assembly would be of immense benefit to the people of Ikot Ekepene Senatorial district in particular and the State in general.
He prayed God to give Chief Akpabio more wisdom to continue in the task of building a better Akwa Ibom and wished him many more fruitful years and success in the forth-coming election.
