The House of Assembly standard bearer for Onna State Constituency for next month’s general election, Otuekong Nse Essien has congratulated Mr Udom Emmanuel for successfully bringing back the “Flag of the People” to the state.

Otuekong Essien who is popularly known as Indomitable said this on the occasion of the reception of the P.D.P Governorship candidate with the Party’s Flag at the Akwa Ibom International Airport on Sunday 11th January, 2015.

The Assembly hopeful said that “the arrival of the flag which I call the flat of the people has finally put paid to the speculations and rumours as to who is really the candidate of our party in the state” He therefore used the occasion to call on all Akwa Ibom people to join hands with the choice of the people, Mr Udom Emmanuel, to make sure that he wins the governorship election next month so as to be able to deliver on his promises of industrialization to the state.
On his forthcoming election as the House of Assembly Member for Onna State Constituency, the Otuekong Awa in Onna Local Government Area, called on the people of Onna to come out en masse to vote for him as he will be able to attract a lot of good things to his people if voted into the House.

Meanwhile, the P.D.P Governorship standard bearer in the State, Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, while presenting the P.D.P Governorship Flag to the mammoth crowd of supporters at the airport said that the flag is a symbol of unity to the people of Akwa Ibom State because as the flag is one, all of Akwa Ibom is unified under the P.D.P umbrella. “As from today, let all of us say no to ethnic bigotry in Akwa Ibom State. As this flag is one, it is a symbol of unity, signifying that irrespective of the part of Akwa Ibom we come from we are all one. 

With this flag, I want to assure Akwa Ibom people that we shall create wealth for the people of the state, we shall all have food on our tables, we shall build an egalitarian society where every Akwa Ibom person shall enjoy equal social, political, and economic rights and privileges,” he said. 

He therefore solicited the support of all Akwa Ibom people, men, women, and youths to come out and vote him into office as he cannot win without their support.
