Lawmaker advises Constituents to vote PDP at all levels
The Member representing Abak State  Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Elder Friday Iwok has advised the people of Abak to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at all levels during the forth-coming general elections.

Elder Iwok who gave the advice at the first Solemn Assembly of the Year which took place at his residence at Abak over the weekend, warned against supporting opposition parties. The Chairman House Committee on Health assured that voting for PDP will guarantee continuous development as more dividends of democracy will be attracted to the area and advised against wasting votes for opposition.
Elder Iwok who is also the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Standard-bearer for Abak State Constituency expressed gratitude to God for using the monthly Solemn Assembly to do wonderful things for the people of Abak.

The “Utuenikang I of Otoro Clan” called on those who may have been aggrieved to bury their differences and join hands together with him for the overall development of Abak.

The Assemblyman explained that the PDP umbrella is too large to accommodate everybody and assured the people of Abak that he will not disappoint them if voted back to the State House of Assembly for a second term.

He called on the people of Abak to vote for Dr. Goodluk Jonathan as the President, Mr. Udom Emmanuel as the State Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio to represent the people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District in the National Assembly and Mr. Emmanuel Ekon for House of Representatives.

In his homely, the officiating Minister, Very Rev. Ukeme S. Ikot who spoke on the topic “the emptier will not empty you”, admonished the congregation to hold on to God, assuring that with God they will not be disappointed. Very Rev. Ikot called on Christians to always remember God in whatever they do; assuring that the emptier will not empty them this year. 

In his speech, the Coordinator of the God’s Agenda Monthly Prayer Meeting, Pastor Ekerette Akpan thanked God for using the prayer meeting to give Elder Friday Iwok victory at the last PDP Primaries and also brings peace, joy and blessing to the people of Abak.

Pastor Akpan charged the congregation to always remember to put God first in all their endeavours.

The Prayer Meeting featured testimonies, praises, and choir renditions by God’s Agenda Heavenly Choir, Concerned Youths, Ediene, Vision Choral Group and Divine Tools Singers, Afaha Obong. Prayers were offered for Elder Friday Iwok, and family, his second term aspiration, Abak State Constituency, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria and the forth-coming general elections.

Goodwill messages were also received. In his message, the Chairman Otoro Ward I Elders Council, Mr. Friday Utang thanked the people of Abak and the God’s Agenda Prayer Meeting for their steadfastness, sacrifice and prayers which he noted have contributed to the victory of their illustrious son, Elder Iwok at the PDP Primaries. 

Mr. Utang called on the people of Abak to come out and vote massively for Elder Iwok during the forth-coming election.

The Lebanon Brass Band added colour to the occasion with beautiful renditions
