Udom is the key to job creation and industralization – TASI
The Think Akwa Ibom South Initiative   (TASI), the largest political group that is rooting for and promoting the gubernatorial ambition of the immediate past secretary to Akwa Ibom state Government Mr. Udom Emmanuel has extolled the excellent leadership qualities of Mr. Udom Emmanuel describing him as “the man with the key to industrialization and job creation in the state”. Speaking at the end of the year get to together of the group, the chancellor Prince Aniekpon Ekpo who has never hidden his admiration for the immediate past SSG, Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel stated unequivocally that with the emergence of Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel as the standard flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state, the indigenes are set to  enjoy good and quality leadership as Mr. Udom has what is needed to take Akwa Ibom State to greater heights. Prince Aniekpon also said that he was “100% confident that Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel is the right man to steer the wheels of leadership of the state, and also consolidate and continue the uncommon transformation that has been conceived and initiated by Chief (Dr.) Godswill Obot Akpabio, the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State”.

Also at the occasion was the TASI board of trustees chairperson Hon. (Mrs.) Lydia Udoh who also addressed the marmord crowd that gathered at the TASI National Secretariat to “leave no stone onturn in the group’s bid to ensure that Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel is elected in February 2015 as the next governor of Akwa Ibom state”. The TASI board of trustee chairperson Hon. (Mrs.) Lydia Udoh also charged and assured the teaming crowd that Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel was the man to beat in all the local government areas as the Peoples Democratic Party was fully confident of a resounding victory at the polls come February 2015. The TASI chancellor Mr. Aniekpon Ekpo assured the crowd that PDP was going to win all the 31 (Thirty one) local government areas of the state with at least 85% of the total votes.


The high point of the event was the recognition and reward of hardwork by the TASI chancellor. Notably among those rewarded were the team leaders from Oro nation whose commitment and dedication to the Udom governorship project has been very glaring for all to see. Other team leaders were also recognized and rewarded at the event. At least five team leaders from each of the three senatorial districts were rewarded with GoTv decoders and antennas, bags of rice, cash with other gift items.

Also the chancellor of TASI, Prince Aniekpon Ekpo also distributed bags of rice to all the 31 local government areas of the state at the TASI get-together / end of the year party at the TASI national Secretariat. Huge sum of money was also given to members to aid their transporation.

An indigene of Nsit Ubium at the event noted that Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel represent justice, equity, fairness and progress of Akwa Ibom. He said that “Nsit Ubium being a PDP local government will make sure that all the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party win at all levels starting from the state house of assembly to the federal house to the senate and then the ultimate price which is the governorship of the state”. Her however dismissed the opposition stating the Akwa Ibom is a PDP state and hence will convincingly win all elective offices in the 2015 general election.

In the same vein, the chancellor of the Think Akwa Ibom South Initiative (TASI) Prince Aniekpon Ekpo has charged all his team leaders and coordinators in all the thirty one local government areas to ensure that they go to their various local government areas and mobilize the youths, men, women, elders etc for the electioneering campaign of the PDP gubernatorial flag bearer Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel.

A close study shows that the Think Akwa Ibom South Initiative is currently the largest and most popular political group that is rooting for the election of Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel in 2015. TASI it was observed has presence in all the thirty one local government areas and units of Akwa Ibom State. TASI has been mobilizing and working tirelessly for the emergence of Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel as the next governor of Akwa Ibom State. TASI has representation in the three senatorial districts of the state where it is making meaningful impact by convincing people that the only person that can consolidate and continue the uncommon transformation of the Chief (Dr.) Godswill Obot Akpabio is Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel.

Speaking at the event, an indigene of Oron local government noted that with the equitable power sharing formula which rotates power around the three senatorial districts of the state, the state is bond to attain greater height, in his words ‘‘ I am very delighted to day to be part of the Think Akwa Ibom South Initiative, I am happy that this crowd I am seeing here has seen the need to support a man of vision, a man of intergrity and a man that Akwa Ibom state can support, I commend TASI for supporting Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel because he is an excellent material for our dear state. I also want to commend our chancellor, Prince Aniekpon Ekpo for being the arrowhead and promoter of the Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel governorship project’’. The electrified corwd were always singing and chanting ‘‘THINK UDOM, THINK RIGHT, THINK EKET SENATORIAL DISTRICT’’.

The TASI chancellor Prince Aniekpon Ekpo noted that the PDP government in the last seven and half years has immensely changed the scope and perception of the state nationally and internationally and therefore enjoying all Akwa Ibomites to keep faith with the rulling Peoples Democratic Party as it is poised to do more. He enumerated the various pulsating achievements of the Chief (Dr.) Godswill Obot Akpabio administration to include the free and compulsory education programme, the 30,000 capacity ultra modern international Stadium, the 4-star hotel in Ikot Ekpene, the rehabilitation and renovation of the Ikote Ekpene Township stadium, the 250 bed multifaceted hotel at the Ibom Tropicana entertainment centre, the massive road network, the flyovers, the pedestrian bridges located all over the state, the Ibom e-library, the underground Ibom Power plant, the rehabilitation of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, the Public Private Partnership (PPP) Gas processing plant Uquo Esit Eket Local Government, Improvement of facilitoes at the Akwa Ibom International airport, the new government house complex in Uyo etc. Prince Aniekpon Ekpo also thanked the Akwa Ibom State governor for having faith in the fomer Zenith Bank Managing director assuring the governor that Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel will serve AkwaIbomites creditably well and consolidate on the numerous infrastructural achievement of the current administration. The TASI helmsman described the opposition as People that make empty noise with no electoral value as the THINK AKWA IBOM SOTUH INITIATIVE will effectively mobilize people ranging from men, women, youths, elder to massively vote for Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming general election that will be coming up this year 2015 in the state. he advised all the opposition to desist from politics of rancors and embrace the excellent manifestoe of the People Democratic Party and ensure that peace is maintained all across the three senatorial districts of the state. the TASI get together was attended by people from all works of life as the crowd came out in their number to pay unalloyed solidarity to the candidature of the immediate past secretary to the state government and former Zenith Bank managing director Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel. 

The youths and women were not left out as they were seen and noticed all over the place with inscription, ‘‘THINK UDOM, THINK RIGHT, THINK EKET SENATORIAL DISTRICT’’. The event which was a first of its kind, it was gathered will be sustained as it will be repeated next year when Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel assumes office as the executive governor of Akwa Ibom State. Prince Aniekpon Ekpo enjoined AkwaIbomites to expect at least one industry in each of the thirty – one local government areas of the state. he also assured indigenes of the state of job creation as well as enhancement of the general welfare of the entire citizens. The TASI chancellor who also enumerated his milestones since assumption of office assured indigenes of the state of more effective representation of the Think Akwa Ibom South members in government when Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel is sworn in as the governor of the state come may, 2015.
