Revered University Don Professor Desmond Wilson has lend his voice to the ongoing debate on Thomas Thomas an Editor with the Global Concord Newspapers who has been in the SSS detention for about fifteen days now following his abduction by some armed men who are said to have acted on the orders of the state Government.
In a comment monitored on the media, Des Wilson said, “anyone who feels his or her rights have been breached by the Global Concord should know the way to the courts. It is not the duty of the police to vicariously punish an accused for an offence that has not yet been proven.
This is a clear breach of the freedom of expression which is embedded in the Nigerian constitution. If the courts find Mr. Thomas Thomas guilty I would have no complains except if justice is miscarried. #BringBackNigeria.
