APGA slams AKISIEC

APGA slams AKISIEC

BY PAULINUS NTA

All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, has criticized sub section 9 of the electoral guideline, which stipulates that  chairmanship candidates should pay the non refundable  sum of one hundred and fifty thousand naira to the party, and the vice, describing it as illegal.

State chairman of the party, Patrick Otu, who made the condemnation in an interview with our political desk, noted that any levy on candidates, should be the exclusive duties of the party. According to him, AKISIEC has no legal justification to deal directly, nor levy candidates for their party.

Again, they argued that the vice chairmanship candidates should not also be levied since they enjoy a joint ticket from the party.

They however congratulated the newly appointed chairman of the commission, Aniedi Ikoiwak and his team, wishing them a meritorious tenure of office. The party also said they expect a free, fair and credible Local Government election in November.
