A Member of Abak Local Government Transition Committee, Obonganwan (Hon) Ekaette Otu has advised the youths to always put God first in whatever they do to enable them succeed in life.
Obonganwan Otu who gave the advise when the youths of Atai Otoro Village paid her a solidarity visit recently, called on them to shun armed robbery, kidnapping, cultism and other acts capable of tarnishing their image and future, but should rather engage themselves in meaningful ventures so as to become useful and responsible citizens in future.
The Transition Committee Member also appealed to them to continue to support the government of Mr. Udom Emmanuel to attract more dividends of democracy to the area. She used the occasion to thank the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for re-appointing her as a Member of Abak Local Government Transition Committee.
Obonganwan Otu also showered praises on the Wife of the Governor, Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel for her interest in the welfare of women and for using her pet-project, the Family Empowerment and Youth Re-orientation Programme (FEYReP) to touch the lives of the widows and the less privileged ones in the society.
The Transition Committee Member prayed God to continue to bless the First Family and give them more wisdom to discharge their duties effectively. She also commended the Transition Committee Chairman for Abak, Dr. Emmanuel Udosen for the cordial relationship existing between him and Members of the Transition Committee.
The Supervisor for Political Affairs assured that she will continue to work together with the Chairman to enabler him complete the secretariat complex for the people of Abak.
Obonganwan Otu thanked the youths for their love, support and show of solidarity and promised not to disappoint them.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Mr. Sunday Jonah said the visit was to congratulate Obonganwan Otu on her re-appointment, describing it as meritorious and well-deserved.
Mr. Jonah assured that the youths will continue to support her to enable her succeed.
