Udung Uko L.G poll: Youths drums support for Engr. Ben

An apex youth body in UdungUko L.G.A., known as AkpakipUdungUko Youth Stakeholders has reaffirmed their unwavering support to one of their own, Engr. Etim Ben Edenseting on his quest to vie for the Chairmanship seat of the L.G.A. come November 11, 2017.

The youths made their position known last Friday 4th August in UdungUkoL.G.A when the aspirant, Engr. Ben consulted them on his preparedness to govern the L.G.A in the fourth coming elections.

The apex youth body, through their International President Comrd. John Esio expressed gladness that today one there is seeking their support to occupy the number one seat in the council, pointing out that gone are the days where youth were described as leaders of tomorrow but hinted that the youths are now leaders of today. 

He said the era where youths were known for thurggery and other social vices inimical to their growths were over however, admonished Engr. Etim Ben not to forget the youths if he is elected. He expressed the youths’ total support to his aspiration.

Speaking also was the Director General of Engr. Etim Ben campaign organization, Senior Pst. Clement NyongOkon who particularly commended the youth group for their maturity and orderly conducts. He said it’s high time the youths of the area to support one of their own whom he described as a youth friendly person, a grassrooter and an outstanding Engr. Who would turn thing around in UdungUkoL.G.A. Pastor Okon solicited for their support in order for Engr. Ben to transform his visions into reality. 


Responding, the Chairmanship contestant Engr. Ben, thanks the youth for coming under one umbrella to project their interest. He noted that the youths of UdungUkoL.G.A cannot be sitting again on the fence but want to participate in the governance and development of the area.

He explained that he was coming with a great zeal of forcing development on his people “honestly there must be an explosive change in UdungUko. 

I am coming for human capacity development. I am coming for women and youth empowerment. I am coming for job and wealth creation”. He expressed optimism that his administration would ensure that UdungUko glory is resuscitated while the dreams of their founding fathers would be revived.

He promised to partner the State Government in order to bring education nearer to the people as well as attract more government presence to the area.
