Youths of Ebughu Community in Mbo Local Government Area have lauded Governor Udom Emmanuel over the appointment of their son, Hon. Michael Effiong Isang, as a member of the Akwa Ibom Ethical and Attitudinal Re-Orientation Commission (EARCOM).
The commendation came through a statement signed by the Mbo Youth Caucus Chairman, Ulap Sunday Roland Bassey, and Chairman of Abiahada Youth Association, Comrade Effiong Edet Atanang.
The statement said Hon. Isang’s appointment has afforded him yet another opportunity to rally youths of the area for the success and progress of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s programmes for people of the area.
According to the statement, the youths expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded so far by the Udom Emmanuel’s administration and particularly appreciated Hon. Isang for accepting the Governor’s nomination to render service to Akwa Ibom in its avowed commitment to changing the psyche of the people as well as instill in them the Dakkada philosophy.
They thanked the Governor for reawakening the entrepreneur consciousness in the youth, adding that Hon. Isang’s appointment was a testament to “the youth friendly disposition of the government.”
The youths charged Hon. Isang to continue to demonstrate the uncommon love and loyalty that he is known for to the success of the Udom Emmanuel’s administration beyond 2019.
Reacting to the development, Hon. Isang said he was humbled by the appointment and therefore felt it was necessary for him to use his wealth of experience and capacity to ensure the Governor succeeds.
The EARCOM member, who also expressed his indebtedness to Governor Udom Emmanuel, therefore urged youths of the area to remain resolute in their support to the Governor and his administration.
