Effort to reposition QIC youth fellowship underway …as Rev. Efanga inaugurates Hon. Uwem Etuk, Elder Udim Thomas, as patron/patronesses

The avowed commitment of the Chairman of Conference of Qua Iboe Church of Nigeria, Rev. Ekpedeme Moffat Efanga at repositioning the youth fellowship of the church, continue to receive the support of various stakeholders of the church, who are up beat in their pursuit of the vision and policies of the current leadership. 

The General Superintendent/Chairman of Conference Rev. Ekpedeme Efanga gave the charge at Qua Iboe church, 2 Olusegun Obasanjo Way, Uyo while officially inaugurating patron/patronesses of national youth fellowship at the weekend. 

Rev. Efanga charged the youth patron/patronesses to be selfless, as the task required of them was enormous, reminding them that they were chosen on consideration of capacity, experience, exposure and willingness to serve to serve, hence the need to deliver on the expectations of the church. 

The National Youth Fellowship President Obong Mboutidem Alexander in his address said persons of credible characters are selected as their backbone based on merit adding that as patron/patronesses was in recognition of their contributions to the youths’ development, social economic and humanity. 


“This affirms our assurance, confidence and hope which we have on them as men of good conscience and men of high passion for the youth development both spiritual and physical”. Addressing newsmen after the inauguration one of the patrons, Hon. Uwem Etuk of Ewet Township Superintendency appreciated the youth leadership of Qua Iboe Church Nigeria for finding them worthy for the position and promised not to disappoint the confidence disposed on them. 

“I will embark on sensitization to preach the gospel of youth engagement in positive stride for the wellbeing of the large society”. Hon. Etuk said he will add his quota to the advancement of the youth fellowship of the church and will help to lift the department to the greater height. The youth activist commended the state Governor, Deacon Udom Emmanuel for his concerned for the unity of Qua Iboe Church Nigeria and his Dakadda philosophy which called on all the youths to rise to the faith of their greatness. 

Also speaking one of the patronesses, Mrs. Emem Umoh thanked the General Superintendent/ Chairman of Conference of Qua Iboe Church Rev. Ekpedeme Efanga for his avowed commitment to repositioning the church for revival. She thanked the youth leadership for finding her worthy for the advisory roles and pledged to work for spiritual upliftment of the youths in the church.  Elder  Udim Thomas said the youths as future leaders has a duty to be honest, genuine of good values and work for the betterment of the church and the society at large. 

Elder Thomas thanked the National Youth Leadership of Qua Iboe church for the honour done him and others, which he said would prompt him to do more to the church, society and humanity. He urged the youths to focus on their studies and shun social vices and devote sufficient time for the works of God.
