Governor Udom Emmanuel must shake hands with APGA

BY SAMPSON ENYONGEKERE

In a drastic attempt to engender a cordial inter-party relationship perhaps for political inclusiveness, a prominent member of the conference of Nigerian Political Parties(CNPP), and Akwa Ibom State chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance,APGA, Hon.Joseph Patrick Out,recently said Governor Udom Emmanuel must shake hands as a sign of friendship with his party.

The APGA boss made the submission on “POLITICS TODAY” , a television phone-in political talk show in Abuja while answering questions on the spate of inter-party relationship in Akwa Ibom State.

Hon. Joseph Otu  said APGA deserves to be commended by the state governor for not unnecessarily heating up the Akwa Ibom political sphere inspite of seemingly annoying policies like the sales of nomination forms for the forth coming Locl Government polls by AKISEC which hitherto, was the exclusive rights of political parties.

He further stressed that Nigeria development, economic and industrial, was moving at snail-paced because of the winner takes it all syndrome and lack of political inclusiveness in the system.

He added that APGA’s office was now a hive of activities following the influx of hitherto non members and intense polical development occasioned by the fast approaching November 11 elections. Hon. Otu said his office was daily besieged by aspirants who are seeking to use the APGA’s platform to contest the Local Government elections as most of them feel annoyed by the zoning arrange.
