Onna Chairmanship hopeful assures of Eagles Victory

The Chairmanship Aspirant for Onna Local Government Area in the November 11 local government election, Hon Imo Attat has expressed hope that the Super Eagles will defeat Cameroon in the World Cup qualifier in Uyo slated for Friday, 1st September, 2017. 

He gave the assurance while interacting with newsmen in uyo recently that Nigeria will qualify for the Word Cup. Attat who is also the Vice Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State football associated said he was satisfied with the selection of the players by the Technical Adviser for the encounter. 

He thanked the Executive Governor of the state, Mr Udom Emmanuel for sponsoring the Super Eagles match in uyo, describing him as a sports loving Governor. He assured that everything has been put in place by NFF and the State FA for the success of the match. 

He said, “NFF is fully in charge and we in the State FA are playing a good role to record a successful match” “The security is intact, we are doing our best to ensure that everything will go on well “ The President of All Stars Formation in Akwa Ibom called on Akwa Ibom fans and Nigeria at large to come out enmass to support Super Eagles to victory.
Attat who is contesting under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party used the medium to congratulate the home base Eagles for qualifying for CHAN tournament. He disclosed to newsmen that when he becomes the council chairman he will revive local government sports where all sports will be given adequate attention. 

He assured will liaise with relevant financial institutions to empower youth youths and women in the area, saying, “ I will encourage my people to key in to the Dakkada agenda of of Governor Udom Emmanuel in order to help develop the state. Our correspondent gathered that Hon Attat is currently sponsoring youths in the area on ICT, auto mechanic, aluminum works among others. 

It was also learnt that the people of onna have thrown in their weights behind Attat’s Chairmanship aspiration in the forth coming local government election.
