As preparation for forth-coming local government election in the State gathers momentum, a leading socio-political organization in Etim Ekpo local government Area, the Concerned Citizens Voice (CCV) has described Elder Ime Usoro as the best material to occupy the Chairmanship position of the area.
Speaking with journalists at the end of an enlarged meeting of the organization which took place over the weekend at Utu Etim Ekpo, the Chairman of the organization, Comrade Etimbuk Isong said after carefully assessing all the aspirants that have so far emerged for the Etim Ekpo Local government top seat, Concerned Citizens have discovered that Elder Ime Usoro is the best and has all the qualities to take Etim Ekpo local government are to the next level of development. “Elder Ime Usoro is a God-fearing personality. He is honest, humble and transparent.
Comrade Isong expressed happiness that the zoning arrangement of the area favours Elder Ime Usoro since the other side of Etim Ekpo River according to him, has never produced a Chairman since the return of democracy in 1999.
He assured that if given the opportunity, Elder Ime Usoro would not disappoint the people of Etim Ekpo, but would rather work towards attracting dividends of democracy to the people of the area.
The Chairman advised the people of the area not to see the forth-coming election as a do-or-die affair, but should join hands together and support what is good for the area.
Comrade Isong used the occasion to thank the Stakeholders, Elders, Women Youths and the entire people of the area for always supporting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and solicited more of such support to enable the Party to continue to win in future elections.
