As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) membership continues to expand, another decampee, the former commissioner for science and technology, Mr. Samuel Effanga has returned fully to the party according to his public declaration.
In reaction to this development, the member representing Uyo State constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House Of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Monday Eyo Okon has expressed his goodwill and heartfelt congratulations to him for taking the laudable decision to return to the peoples oriented party.
Hon. Monday Eyo said with the internal reconciliation of factions in the party and the open hands extended to decampees, the PDP has again proven to be a party with large heart and always willing to accommodate people who have come to the realization that PDP remains the only truly National Party with vision to move Nigeria to greater level.
He assured Mr. Samuel Effanga that as a former ranking PDP member in the State, he still occupied a vintage place in the minds of the party irrespective of his short vacation from the party. Hon. Eyo added that with his return to the fold, the party shall be strengthened as a United front to advance Uyo local government for the benefit of the people and the re-election of election of governor Udom for second term.
The lawmaker called on others who are anxious to return to the PDP to emulate the positive action of Mr. Samuel Effanga, because the party is presently extending its hands of fellowship and friendship to politicians who are uncomfortable in other parties they presently belong.
According to him because of its fatherly status in the politics of Nigeria, PDP he said is large enough to accomplish; all incoming interests. He further pronounced that “PDP will again take over national dominance and governance in 2019”
