A chairmanship hopeful in the November 11, 2017 Local Government election in Eket, Elder Emmanuel Michael Assam has assured the People of Eket that his administration will create over 1000 job opportunities for youths of the area within one years in office.

Elder Michael popularly known as Imaco made the vow in Eket over the weekend when he played host to some members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in his residence.

He maintained that as a successful business man, he was highly connected to international investors who will be attracted to Eket by his position as executive Chairman of the area.

“I want to assure youths of Eket that if I am given the mandate to serve as the executive Chairman of Eket Local Government Area, my administration will create over 1000 jobs because I have the blue print to do that”, he said.

He called on members of the party to remain Loyal to the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel and urged aggrieved members who left the party to return and be accommodated for a brighter future.

He averred that the P.D.P will take over the mantle of leadership at the centre come 2019 because the people of Nigeria have been disappointed by the A. P. C led government.

Elder Emmanuel Michael commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for changing the face of Eket through infrastructure development, adding that his administration will compliment the effort of the Government in attracting industries to Eket.

He condemned in strong terms the negative criticism churned out by members of the opposition party against the Governor and called on the State Chief executive not to be distracted by such antics of A.P.C.

Imaco said the Governor deserves commendation for putting the State on an industrial path within two years in office, citing the peacock paint which has now flooded the market as a typical example.
