A councilorship Aspirant, Hon. Enobong Robert Umoette (A.k.a. Scott) in Nung Ndem (Ward 1), ONNA L.G.A has promised to attract dividends of democracy to his ward if elected to represent the people in the legislative council.
Umoette, a native of Okat village, where the councilorship slot is zoned to said his approach to the legislative engagement will be issue based and focused on capacity building, which will enable the ward sustain the existing structure for PDP in successive elections in the Lg and state at large.
He made this declaration during a consultation visit to the PDP, Nung Ndem ward 1 Exco over the weekend at Mkpok village PDP party office in ONNA L.G.A.
“I came to inform you that i am aspiring to represent Nung Ndem ward 1 in ONNA Legislative Council on the PDP platform come Nov. 11”
“I have the capacity and intellectuality to attract government’s presence to our ward.”

“When the people are comfortable, they will see the need to vote their brother, Governor Udom Emmanuel again in 2019; this comfortability is what I shall bring”- Umoette added.
Receiving the aspirant, the ward Chairman of the PDP, Mr Imo Francis Akpabio In his remark, appreciated the aspirant for acknowledging that the party is supreme.
Mr. Imo who doubles as the Chairman of all ward Chairmen in ONNA emphasized that the Udom’s administration does not tolerate imposition and as such, all the aspirant will be given a level playing ground in the upcoming electioneering process.
He further stated that since the Governor has consistently said that he is a product of zoning, there will be no rancour in the ward as the councillorship slot for Nung Ndem ward 1 is zoned to Okat village for the sake of justice, fair play and equity.
Akpabio urged the aspirant to work assiduously to achieve his political aspiration by indulging in an all inclusive consultation.
Also speaking during the consultation visit, the representatives of the three villages that constitute the ward in the party Exco, Mr. Andy Ufot Johnson- Ndon Eyo, Godwin Ikpe- Mkpok, Evang. Dickson Udo Dickson -Okat, said they appreciate the aspirant for acknowledging the party in his political sojourn.
They eulogize the Udom Emmanuel’s administration for his decision to let the grassroots be the deciders of who they want as their representative.
They noted that any one aspiring to represent the people must always have a working developmental blueprint, saying they believe he has one for the people.
The three representatives assured him of a level playing ground in the upcoming Nov 11, local government elections, urging him to remember the party and his people if God gives him the mandate to represent the people.
