Mkpat Enin LGC Lawmaker splashes Constituents with Xmas Largesse

In the bid to bring democratic dividends to the  people of her constituency during the last Yuletide festive season, the councillor representing Ukpum Minya Ward 1 in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, Hon. Ekaette Philip, has last December 26, 2014 fetted the womenfolk across the ward with materials and cash largesses.

Addressing the women of the area during the event which coincided with this year’s edition of Minya community anniversary, Minya Day, Hon. Philip, who doled out wrappers and cash gifts to women across the ward, called on them to reciprocate the kind gestures of the state governor, Chief Godswill Obot Akpabio, and his wife, Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, toward the women in the state, by ensuring that they participate actively in voting PDP en masse in the forthcoming general election.

The lawmaker, who noted that the current administration in the state has raised the inclusion of women in the state’s political scheme of things like never before, urged mothers in the area to rise to their responsibilities of advocating for peaceful voting exercise among the youths in the area.

Hon. Ekaette Philip, who had earlier facilitated the provision of free surgical operation on 22 hernia patients across the ward, seized the opportunity to laud Governor Akpabio and wife, Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio for providing the enabling space for women to be showcased and transformed through their involvement in the socio-political activities in the state.

She, therefore, assured the women that they would be carried along in the next administration, adding that they have to be seen to play significant role in the resounding re-emergence of the PDP administration in the state.
