Afaha Obong Youths Salute Lawmaker For Breaking Second Term Jinx

The youths of Afaha Obong Ward II in Abak Local Government Area under the aegis of Conglomeration of Youths for Democratic Liberty (CYDL) have congratulated the Member representing Abak State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Elder Friday Iwok on his victory at the recently concluded PDP Primaries. The youths in a message singed by the Coordinator, Mr. Monday Isaac described the victory of Elder Friday Iwok at the PDP Primaries as the work of God, stressing that by this victory, the Second Term Jinx in Abak Sate Constituency has been broken.

The Coordinator attributed the victory of Elder Iwok to the numerous achievements he has recorded during his first three years in office and expressed the hope that his second term will usher in many more democratic dividends for the people of Abak.

He pledged the continuous loyalty and support of the youths of Afaha Obong Ward II to Elder Friday Iwok, assuring that the youths will continue to stand by him, and mobilize support for him during the forth-coming general election.
Meanwhile, the Coordinator, Conglomeration of Youths for Democratic Liberty (CYDH) Afaha Obong Ward II Mr. Monday Isaac has expressed gratitude to the youths of Afaha Obong Ward II for finding him worthy to be appointed as their Coordinator, assuring that he will not disappoint them.


The Coordinator commended the Supervisor for Youth and Sports in Abak Local Government Area, Mr. Rock Dick for leading the youths in the right direction.

He pointed out that through Mr. Rock Dick who is also the Vice Chairman Akwa Ibom State Youth Caucus for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, the youths of Afaha Obong Ward II have known the right aspirants who have excellent political trade record to follow.

The Coordinator used the occasion to commend an illustrious son of the Ward, Sir Gabriel Etim and the Councilor represented Afaha Obong Ward II in Abak Legislative Council, Hon. Joseph Alexander for their continuous support to the programmes and activities of the youths of the Ward.

He also commended their Patrons of Ikot Obong Youth, Mr. Friday Effiong Udo and Pastor Anietie Nnana for their morale and financial contribution to the success of the activities of the youths of the area and prayed God to continue to bless them more abundantly.

The Coordinator also used the occasion to sympathize with the Secretary of the Organization. Mr. Uduak Martins Akapn on the death of his uncle, Mr. Asicus Peter Akapn who was buried recently at the age of 77.

He prayed God to give Mr. Uduak Martins and the entire family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Mr. Monday Isaac assured that the youths will vote for the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at all levels during the forth-coming general election. He lauded the PDP Chairman in the Ward, Mr. Simeon Okon for carrying everybody along and for making the party to wax stronger in the ward.

It would be recalled that the youths of Afaha Obong Ward II had adopted Elder Friday Iwok for Second Term long before the PDP Primaries.
