Youth Leader denies adopting Ephraim Akpan

Youth Leader denies adopting Ephraim Akpan
The National President of IkpaIbom Youth Forum, IkpaIbom Clan, MkpatEnin Local Government Area, Comrade UduakNkanga, has refuted a publication in some news media accusing him of adopting the incumbent Local Government Chairman, Hon. Ephraim Akpan for State House of Assembly come 2015.

The Youth Leader while briefing members of his Executive of the ugly incident during an Executive meeting held at his country home IkotAkpaEkop is said to have expressed regret over the radio announcement and newspaper publications. He said, “… I was not invited to such meeting. I never attended such meeting and I know nothing about the purported adoption of Hon. Ephraim Akpan for whatever thing. Therefore, I exempt myself from it.

He is said to have stated further that, there was nothing wrong with META throwing its weight behind the council Boss on his political aspiration but for them to have done that by including his name as one of the party involved in the adoption, means META had a skeleton in their cupboard which they needed to paint ‘white’ using his reputation. Comrade Nkanga wondered that out of the fifty delegates the organizers claim attended the meeting held at Godswill Akpabio Oil and gas Academy in NyaOdiong, MkpatEnin Local Government Area, META still couldn’t get enough names to drive home their endorsement but had to extend to names of people who were not part of the meeting without their consent.

“This shows that META lacks the real actors they need to advertise their product”, Comrade Nkanga stated. He thereafter said that the National President of MkpatEnin Transformation Alliance (META), Mr. Ubong Ifut must apologize to him and the entire youth of IkpaIbom Clan for the wrong inclusion of his name as one of the delegates who spoke during the said Monthly general meeting of the group in support of the adoption of Hon. Ephraim Akpan for AkwaIbom State House of Assembly, 2015. He said failure to do that, he will be compelled to seek legal redress on the matter.

Concerning the issue of State House of Assembly seat in MkpatEnin generally believed to be the turn of IkpaIbom Clan, Comrade Nkanga said; “we have not gotten there yet but we will soon get there and when we get there, I will lead the entire youths of IkpaIbom clan and queue behind the collective decision of IkpaIbom Traditional Rulers, Elders, Elites and other Stakeholders of IkpaIbom Clan: On the issue of the Federal House of Representative, Comrade Nkanga is said to have added that with the endorsement of Barr. Ekong Sampson by MkpatEnin Traditional Rulers Council – the highest ruling mechanism of MkpatEnin people, the matter has been sealed.

MkpatEnin People are for Ekong Sampson, Ekong Sampson is for MkpatEnin People as the sole Candidate for the position of House of Representatives come 2015.” Comrade Nkanga urged Ikpa Ibom youths to be focused and not to be distracted by what he called ‘cheap political propaganda’ and support President Goodluck Jonathan to continue in transforming the Nation beyond 2015.

He also appreciated the State Governor, Godswill Akpabio (CON) for his Uncommon Transformation of the State and encouraged him to be steadfast in his vision to secure a better future for the people of Akwa Ibom State. For the Council Boss, Hon. Ephraim Akpan, Comrade Nkanga Urge him not to be distracted by sycophants but should use the few months left ahead of him to transform MkpatEnin adding that those sycophants he see praising him today might use the same mouth to curse him if he fails to deliver on his campaign promises after his tenure in office.

Comrade Uduak Nkanga finally adviced youths of Mkpat Enin to always depend on their leaders for direction, saying that there will be no better way to do that than depending on their daughter, Noble Lady Valarie Ebe, Deputy Governor of AkwaIbom State, for political direction of Mkpat Enin People.
