UNIUYO alumni exco ratified

The Board of Trustees  of the University of   Uyo Alumni Association chaired by a former Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Akpan Hogan Ekpo has ratified the new national executive of the University of Uyo Alumni Association elected last month. 

The ratification took place in the Senate Chamber of the University last Friday. The ratification came through a motion moved by a member of the board, Rt. Hon Usenobong Akpabio and seconded by Mr. Anietie Eteyit. Speaking during the event, the BoT Chairman, Prof Akpan Ekpo charged the new Exco to work had to justify the confidence reposed in them and to lead the association to greater heights.

While congratulating the Dr Nkereuwem Udoakah led electoral board for conducting a free and fair election, Prof Ekpo  promised his continuous support and contributions to the Alumni association and the University of Uyo in general. Responding, the National President University of Uyo Alumni Association, Prof Gabriel Umoh said the new exco was poised to give the association a new lease of life through various projects and programs. Prof Umoh maintained that the exco will stop at nothing in bringing together alumni of the university and harnessing their rich potentials for the good of the University of Uyo.

The don sued for the support and cooperation of all members in the task of taking Uniuyo to the next level. Members of the new National Exco of the University of Uyo Alumni Association ratified include Hon Owen Owen-Vice President, Dr Jude Iwok-Secretary, Mr. Samuel Effiong Treasurer; Dr Happiness Uduk-Financial Secretary; Mr. Justice Udousoro-Publicity Secretary; Dr Godwin Akpan-Director of Organization. Others are Uduak Akai-Assistant Secretary while Deacon Manasseh Umoette and Bar Mike Nyah are Assistant Publicity Secretary and Legal Adviser respectively.

The BoT meeting also had in attendance Dr Nkereuwem Udoakah, Mr Idorenyin Taylor Uko as well as the University of Uyo Alumni Relations Officer, Mr. Mfon Essien.
