Profile of Hon. Dr. Usoro Akpanusoh

Was born on the 9th of April in his hometown  Uquo Esit Eket local government area of Akwa Ibom State, he attended Holy Cross Lutheran primary school Uquo and community secondary school Akpautong in Esit Eket local government area of the state. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in political science and a Masters degree in public administration both from the prestigious university of Uyo in Akwa Ibom State, an honorary doctorate degree from the ICOF University Louisville, Kentucky, United State of America. 

Usoro Akpanusoh (Kiniabasi 2015!! In God we trust) as his campaign slogan is known, is currently contesting for the Akwa Ibom State house of Assemble seat to represent Esit Eket/Ibeno state constituency under the platform of the people ’s democratic party (PDP), this is in response to the clarion call to service by the people of his constituency after a test and confirmation of his leadership capability.

His legislative pedigree and track record as a grassroot icon, a philanthropist, a team player and a youth ambassador has earned him the traditional title of Obong Ifiok by the Awa Clan Council of Traditional Chiefs. He is also an associate member of the United Nation Education Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), a recipient of an award of legislative excellence by the National Institute of management (NIM), and formal ward secretary Governor Godswill Akpabio campaign organization, among several awards and affiliations.

He has a wealth of experience as a man who grew up from a humble and God fearing background amongst his people, who’s plight he share, to being a two time former councilor, a majority leader of Esit Eket legislative council, and later appointed supervisory councilor for education and youths, an erstwhile senior special assistant to the former Esit Eket local government chairman on special duty, he also served as acting chairman of Esit Eket local government area, in an administration that has been most remarkable in the history books of the people of Esit Eket local government. Usoro Akpanusoh is presently the Akwa Ibom State organizing secretary of the people’s democratic party (PDP). 

He also chair the board of trustee of Esit Eket patriotic alliance and is well known for his selfless services to his people, highly referred by well notable citizens of Nigeria from Akwa Ibom extraction, some of whom include Hon Okpolupm I Etteh member representing Esit Eket/Ibeno Akwa Ibom house of Assemble, Senator Etang Edet Umoyo Etebi, Esit Eket and his mentor Chief. Barr Bassey Dan Abia, Chairman/CEO Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). 

All this has equipped him with the requisite knowledge of legislation, good governance and the principles of democracy, which he will bring to the table on assumption of office as member Akwa Ibom State house of assemble. He is happily married with three (3) children.
