The Executive Chairman of Nsit Ibom Local Government Area, Obonganwan Mfon Ekong has felicitated a frontline elder statesman in Akwa Ibom State, Chief Michael Afangideh on his recent honour as a Member of the Federal Republic (MFR) by President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
Obonganwan Mfon Ekong told newsmen in Uyo that Chief Michael Afangideh remains a pride to the people of Akwa Ibom State as he has been a strong catalyst and pillar in the Governor Godswill Akpabio’s Uncommon Transformation success story and his selfless service and candid advice have sustained the unity of the people of Akwa Ibom State.
She stated that the national award is a further recognition of his sterling leadership qualities and that the people of Nsit Ibom Local Government Area felicitate him; commend President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Governor Godswill Akpabio for the outstanding honour and support given to this living legend.
She urged Chief Michael Afangideh not to relent in his strides to contribute to the development of Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria in general especially in these challenging times of the nation where the people must unite to ensure that Nigeria remains a leading light of exemplary leadership on the continent.
