The maiden edition of Dr. Emmanuel Udosen All Abak Secondary Schools Football Championship earlier scheduled to kick of today, has been postponed.
The postponement according to the organizers is to enable secondary schools in Abak Local Government Area to participate in the preliminaries of Ati Annang Secondary Schools Football Championship which begin today in the eight local government areas of Annang land.
According to the Tournament Coordinator, Mr. Isonguyo Iniodu, the Championship will now kick-off on the last week of November, 2016 after the preliminaries of Ati Annang Secondary Schools Championship.
Mr. Iniodu who is also the Secretary, Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), Akwa Ibom State chapter however regretted any inconvenience the postponement might have caused the participating schools and the general public.
It would be recalled that 19 secondary schools have so far received invitation letters to participate in the championship.
