Uyo will be agog as a top scout with Deportivo Alaves of Spain, Perez Lopez Raul leads representatives of other top European clubs to the state for the Ultimate Cup Championship holding from November 29 to December 5,2016.
The event which will be rounded up with an award night billed for December 5 at Le Meridien hotel and Golf course is a top competition involving 11 invited football academies from Benin Republic and across the country.
Other European club representatives that have confirmed their coming are Sporting Lisbon, Braga, FC Stockholm and Victoria Setubal.
A Portuguese football legend Mauro De Brito Santos Pouliquerio on Wednesday also confirmed to our reporter that he will be in Nigeria for the event.
“I am representing two Clubs from Portugal, but will not disclose their names until I arrive Nigeria. There are certain documentations that we are working on, which must be sorted out before I make it public,” Mauro said.
“I am in touch with others and the two guys from Spain, one of them is Williams Ajuwa. He has assured me that every arrangement is in place, and we know Nigeria youths play good football so we have no problems at all with the arrangements.”
Meanwhile, the International office of the Ultimate Cup in Denmark revealed that their officials led by the president, Dr Sammy Etuk are already in Nigeria preparatory to the tourney.
The Local Organising Committee, LOC coordinator, Dr David Thompson said they were ready for the event assuring that it would be hitch free.
