The history of humanity for ages past is often characterized by a general philosophy of life and this tend to be centered on special personalities who did not just exist for their selfish purposes, but who have made while on earth, these of course are the men of the moment that are found in the history books. They are seen to have caused changes in history through their immense contributions which enhances the standard of living in the modern society.
Going by the philosophy of a renowned writer, Samuel Johnson, a life afford no higher pleasure than of surmounting difficulties, passing from one step of success to another, forming new wishes, and seeing them gratified. He that labours in any great or laudable undertaking has his fatigues, first supporting by hope and afterwards rewarded by joy. To see strive with difficulties and to conquer them in the highest human facility.
The name Nse Essien in the Akwa Ibom State legislative circle means different thing to different people. To some it means an ICON of hope while others see it as a 21st century legislature with a multitude magnetic zeal of initiating uncommon transformation in both oversight, representation and legislation not only to Onna State constituency but to Akwa Ibom people as a whole.
This astute lawmaker of the 21st century is fast becoming a major factor in the advancement of giving his people effective and equality representation.
On assumption as the man representing Onna in the 6th Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, in view of his track records, with high political profile, the Onus of deputy chief whip was bestowed on this grate man.
Targeted at making a difference in his tenure as a representative in AKHA, Hon Nse Essien has fixed himself both on the legislation, representation and oversight parts as expected as the most three cardinal point of a through lawmaker.
Assuming to make a difference, Hon Essien within his short stay in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly one could say has so far perform creditably well.
In terms of representation, everyone could attest to the fact that, Obong Nse Essien has never toil in any matter concerning not only his constituents but Akwa Ibom State in general. This is because he came to the House of Assembly to make a difference.
This grate politician with no mean repute is gifted with a vision to see the feature and predict what he has in stock in terms of recreating new strategy. Infact, Nse Essien has a clear idea of where he is going and what he want to accomplish, that is why today he is one of the member who has the high record in terms of human-oriented bills, motions and even other matters connected-therein, that is when it comes to legislation.
No wonder it is written in the Holy Scripture saying “seest thou a man diligent in his work, he shall stand before king”, Hon Essien popularly called INDOMITABLE aka INDO I can say is a man of great intellectual impact in view of his distinguish track records of service in the public sector who always stressed the optimism of making a difference and hope to his people.
In the area of oversight, INDO has make the waves. He ensured he liaise between political parties and government in a bid to bring transparency to the system. His humility, I can say is totally accepted by all. Surprisingly, Nse Essien’s brilliant activities and interactions with people have undoubtly portrayed him as a man of honour, impartiality, vitality and accountability.
Accountability in this context is the obligation to answer for any responsibility that is being conferred to him. He has a divine compassionate nature, this is because he has the hamane attribute of understanding the sufferings and pains of others, as well as applying the necessary techniques that will alleviate the pains and the suffering of his people. The real compassion is a characteristic that convert knowledge to wisdom.
In my word, I will say the sixth Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly is blessed with this youth eloquent and charistmatic man whose dignity of appearance, brisk, pragmatic intention of movement, clear tone of his speeches and the authority of which he carries himself in public functions to the admiration of those who flocks around him, is appreciated by even all.
He is a man who has rekindled the hope of common man with a stern determination to achieve a footprint that has been left in times concretes.
