Ambassador-Designate appointed AK APC caucus member
The Ambassador-Designate from Akwa Ibom State, Major General Godwin Umo (Rtd), has been appointed a member of the State Caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The appointment was made by the APC State Working Committee when the Ambassador-Designate visited the state secretariat of the party, recently.

Announcing the appointment, the State APC Chairman, Dr. Amadu Attai, congratulated General Umo for making the ambassadorial list and lauded President Muhammadu Buhari for the appointment.

In his remarks, General Umo expressed appreciation to the state APC leadership for his appointment into the caucus and promised to do his best to carry the party along.

He thanked President Buhari for his nomination as an Ambassador and prayed God to continue to guide the President in the discharge of his duties.

General Umo pledged to deliver on his assignment in order to justify the confidence reposed in him by the President.

The Ambassador-Designate also visited the Abak APC Chapter office where the Chapter Chairman, Mr. Mfon Ukpe, stated that President Buhari had made a good choice given General Umo’s antecedents.

He implored God to guide and guard the incoming Ambassador as he takes on his responsibility

The occasion was attended by some Abak elders including Bishop Dominic Obot, a former Member of the State House of Assembly.
