Ukanafun is on a new covenant with God – Barr. Udokoh

The Chairman, Ukanafun Transition Committee, Barr. Samuel Udokoh has reiterated that his administration is poised to renew the foundation of Ukanafun Local Government Area as well as re-dedicated the council to God, in order for Him to take full charge of the council’s affairs now and in the future. The Ukanafun council boss made the remark last Wednesday during last month’s (July) Solemn Assembly conducted at Ukanafun council hall, in Ikot Akpan Nkuk.

Contained in his address presented during the occasion, the erudite chairman expressed resolve that the incoming transition government in collaboration with it stakeholders and the entire people of the area will build a new foundation and a new future for the present generation and the posterity. He said, “we (all of us) will lay a new foundation for Ukanafun; a foundation of a new life, new covenant and new beginning”.
The legal luminary also expressed confidence that his government will meet up with the people’s expectations on the long run, urging the people to have patience and continue to remain hopeful. “I know that the people expectations are high and I want to say that your expectations will not be dashed. We will deliver our best”, he declared.
The youthful council chairman therefore solicited for the staff/peoples’ cooperation, understanding and better working relationship to move the local government forward to it pride of place, adding that with a harmonious coexistence between the people, much would be achieved.
Barr. Udokoh used the medium to congratulate and comment on the excellent leadership qualities of Governor Udom Emmanuel and called for more supports to his administration.
Commenting on the Solemn Assembly, Barr. Udokoh said that the prayer summit will be a monthly routine in the council and noted that God will be using the prayer summit to do new things for the local government area.
Dignitaries who graced the occasion includes: the Member representing Ukanafun at the state legislature, Hon. Deacon Otobong Akpan, the Chapter Chairman who doubles as a Special Adviser to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State on Tourism, Obong Godwin Sandy, the Transition Committee Members, Political Class, Traditional Rulers, Council Staff, the clergy and the general public.
