Gov Udom Emmanuel charges Akwa Ibom people in Diaspora
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr.  Udom Emmanuel has charged her citizens in the Diaspora to channel their professional competences and creative energies towards assisting his administration achieve her industrialization and wealth creation drive. 

Governor Emmanuel who gave the charge at the 5th Global Congress of the Ibibio Peoples Union in Dallas USA at the weekend said his administration had commenced series of programmes and initiatives that will close skills gap, and create wealth for the citizenry whilst pursuing infrastructure expansion, education and health care development. 
The Governor who spoke through the State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Aniekan Umanah commended the IPU and its leadership for organising the people in pursuit of the continued development and preservation of the cultural heritage of the people. 

The State Chief Executive assured the audience that government will continue to work to ensure the unity, progress and sustainable development of the State. 

On his part, the Global President of IPU, Ikpafak Edet Udofia commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for putting in place, people focused programmes and assured that the IPU will lend its weight behind the lofty ideals of the administration. 

The ceremony which witnessed a town hall meeting, heath session and a gala night, had in attendance, two members of the House of Representatives -Hon. Mrs. Owodighe Ekpoattai, Hon Dr. Mike Enyong as well as the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Otuekong Emmanuel Ibiok.
