The State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has continued to receive goodwill messages from groups and individuals on the recent Ground-Breaking Ceremony of the Africa Independent Television – AIT/Ray Power Station at Midim Waterside Village in Abak Local Government Area. The latest came from the Chairman Inter-State Drivers Association of Nigeria (ISDAN) Abak Chapter, Elder Friday Udo-Obot who described the establishment of the station at Abak as a welcome development which he noted will not only help in the dissemination of information, but also create job opportunities to the people of Abak Local Government Area in particular and the state in general.
Elder Udo-Obot who spoke with journalists shortly after the Ground-Breaking Ceremony, pointed out that the State Governor’s vision of industrializing the State, will in no distance time, witness massive wealth creation.
The ISDAN Chairman assured the State Government and the management of DAAR Communications that the people of Abak known to be very peaceful and hospitable, will cooperate and support the station to function successfully.
He thanked the State Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo for his contribution to the establishment of the station at Abak and expressed the hope that he will continue to use his wealth of experience to add value to the new administration in the state.
Elder Udo-Obot also saluted the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Aniekan Umanah for his wisdom and initiative in attracting the station to Abak, stressing that by this act, the Commissioner has shown that he has the interest of the people of Abak in particular and the State in general at heart.
He prayed God to continue to give the new leadership in the state the requisite wisdom to succeed.
