The presiding minister of Christ Army Church, Ikot Mkporikpo Assembly, Etim Ekpo Local Government Area, Evangelist Israel Sunday Udo has admonished Christians to possess their destinies against all the odds of life, saying that if one must live and fulfill his destiny, he must be ready to wrestle his way through the thick and thin of life. Speaking on the topic: ‘Struggling for Supremacy’, and took his scriptural text from the book of Genesis 25 verse 19 to 34, the clergyman noted that life is not a fairy-tale but a real deal which must be lived to the fullest according to God’s wishes to his children, no matter the many challenges and daily confrontations.
He challenged Christians to ‘take the bull by the horns’ by not comprising to inferiority complex and mediocrity but they should strive against all odds to stay afloat and in charge of their destinies.
His words “anybody who tells you that life is battle free is deceiving you. If you want to live and fulfill your destiny, you must be ready to wrestle and fight your way through. Those who failed to realize and accept this truth, in most cases, go through life unfulfilled. According to our text, before the sons of Isaac were born, they struggled for supremacy right in their mother’s womb.”
Evangelist Israel Udo pointed out that what will happen in the Christians’ lives tomorrow is traceable to how Christians live their lives today. He said, “Whatsoever will happen in your life tomorrow is determined in the womb of today. Don’t make light of this crucial moment of your life. Your victory and dominion in the days and years ahead will be a result of what you do in the womb of today.’’
The charismatic preacher quoted that Jacob decided his destiny in the womb and thus urging Christians to decide now that they are still alive how they want to spend their eternities in Christ. “You can settle your destiny today. Jacob decided his destiny in the womb. Good things won’t just happen to you, you must make them happen. Don’t blindly follow the religious folks who keep chanting, ‘God is in control’ yes, God is in control, but He has also put you in charge to exercise dominion over the elements He created. The fact that God wishes something for you does not mean that you will get it without your effort. You have to correctly position yourself to get it in due course. You must struggle for supremacy. I command every power that held you down before now to lose their grips off you. Every battle against your destiny and inheritance in God is turn in your favour in Jesus mighty name”, the cleric declared.
