Publisher attributes increasing spate of crime to failed family values

The rising spate of criminal activities  and other social vices that have engulfed and incapacitated humanity globally in contemporary societies have been described as direct consequences of failed families. The Publisher/Editor-In-Chief, Media Post International, Idorenyin Aquaisua who disclosed this penultimate Sunday in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, while presenting members of Blue Seal Family, for inauguration, has therefore charged humanity to understand that a healthy family is a healthy society and sued for genuine commitments from all to save the society from its appalling moral slide by reconciling failed families and reviving the age-long core family values that promoted genuine love, unity, morality and enhanced commitments to decency, human dignity and legitimate endeavours.  

Mr. Aquaisua who served as the Coordinator and also midwifed the inauguration of the Family decried the prevalence of weird and aberrant cultural, religious and social commitments that have not only promoted deviant tendencies and anti-social behaviours but destroyed age-long core family values that enhanced love, peace, unity and progress in the society. He declared, ‘A healthy family is a healthy society. It is true that a greater percentage of the ills and criminalities that have engulfed, enslaved and incapacitated humanity are direct consequences of failed families. 

Genuine efforts are needed to revive the age-long core family values that promoted unity and brotherhood, inspired peace, engendered love, cherished honesty, encouraged hard work, dignified integrity and abhorred crime, double standards, and the prevailing cultures of corruption; ravenous greed and blind acquisition of public wealth.   Perhaps the greatest threat to the survival of the family is the emerging regime of fear instigated by the growing commercial and separatist religious doctrines that drive most of the end-time prophetic, apostolic and other religious creeds. It is time we save humanity and the place to start is to save the family. 

I call on all men and women to use their various positions and capacities to deliberately promote peace, reconciliation and unity and to revive and cultivate those age-long noble values that strengthened family ties.’ Speaking further on the formation and mandate of Blue Seal Family, he noted ‘Blue Seal Family, therefore, is a union of true friends bonded together in a foundation of selfless love. For us, friendship means needs answered while love remains the only service that money cannot buy and power cannot command. We have chosen to become a family because we are conscious of the fact that the family is not just an important unit of the society but everything that gives life, meaning and character to the society. And, for us, Blue Seal Family means nothing less than the commitment that nobody is left behind or overlooked…  Our creed is love and selfless service. Our strength derives from our unity and amity. 

And as a social organization, we grow on a solid foundation of high moral rectitude, social justice, legitimate endeavours and the rule of law.  Our focus is global and our membership is open to all of humanity in all fields of human endeavour provided they are persons who are not criminally minded but of good conscience, high moral character and robust integrity.’
