Ephraim Akpan on rampage ...places curse on people linking him with Accord Party

BY VICTOR UFOT

The Executive Chairman of Mkpat Enin  local government area Hon Ephraim Akpan has put to bed rumours linking him with the Accord party. The chairman reacted furiously to reports of his alleged movement to the Accord Party in an interaction with our reporter on phone over the weekend. He said he had no basis to decamp from the PDP.

Hon Akpan had indicated interest to vie for the Mkpat Enin state constituency seat under the platform of PDP but later withdrew voluntarily from the race on the eve of the primaries on grounds that he “wants peace to reign in the local government”.

Reports has for sometimes gone viral within and outside the local government that the chairman is allegedly planning to decamp to Accord Party in other to pursue his House of Assembly ambition come 2015. In a swift reaction Hon. Akpan wasted no time in debunking the report during a phone call with this reporter, He said “that is a lie, it is a cheap blackmail what will I contest for? It is baseless and false”

Hon Ephraim furthermore advised those he referred to as his political detractors to refrain from saying ills about him or else they will remain poor and continue with their cheap blackmails that cannot get anywhere.

“Can you win a councillorship seat with Accord Party? He queried I cannot leave my party the PDP; I am not desperate for anything. It is completely false; there is no element of truth in the story that I am interested in the Accord Party, so leave it”. Akpan submitted.
