The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Party, APC has will arrive Uyo today and will proceed for a campaign rally where he is expected to outline his blueprint for the people of Akwa Ibom State.
The former military President of the country was yesterday at Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital where the Party held her National Executive Council meeting. Our reporter gathered that Buhari is expected to come in from Port Harcourt with other top party leaders and stakeholders for the rally in Uyo.
The event in Uyo is billed to hold today at the Uyo Sports stadium from 8:00am. During the event Umana Umana who is the standard bearer of the Party for the gubernatorial position will be presented with the flag of the Party. Others who won during the primaries will also be presented with the flags for their different positions.
Meanwhile, the leadership of the Party at the state level has called on all party faithful stakeholders and supporters of the Akwa Ibom Project to please come out en-masse and welcome Buhari and his team to Akwa Ibom state. They acknowledged that Obong Umana Umana will ensure that the wind of change drives through Akwa Ibom State with the former SSG as the next Governor of Akwa Ibom state.
